Overview:
WordPress is the world’s most popular content management system (CMS) and it is open source (the code is available to the world to look at). This means that it is a numbers game for hackers to find and target WordPress sites that could be used for malicious purposes. An attack could range from a simple defacing (to warn you that your site is not protected) to an abuse of your site & server to serve out illegal content or viruses – most of the time with these hacks you won’t even know it’s there, and your site will continue to operate normally.

Details:
Backup
Your website database is automatically backed up so it is available for quick restoration if required. This is done on a daily basis for most sites. All websites are backed up every night, one copy is kept on your server, and we keep up to one month stored securely off your server.
Maintenance
Your site will be monitored to ensure it is running smoothly. For example, unnecessary post revisions can be removed from your database to keep its size down, and queries fast. We analyse your site every day, testing for malware, viruses, and security holes that are reported and known, using the world leader in scanning – Sucuri.
Patching
We monitor your plugins and the WordPress core for updates and install them for you, once a month. We ensure compatibility of all parts prior to the update so your site continues to operate well. Updates take between 5-20 minutes, and your site will display a maintenance message for the period of the update. We try to do these out of hours (9-5). If you have any special requests about timing you can let us know.
Disaster Recovery
Should your site be hacked or some other event breaks your site, we will work with you to get it back online, based on the SLA you choose for this product. If it is a hosting problem, we will work with your hosting provider (when it’s not us) to get you back online as quickly as possible. This process could involve a complete refresh and install of WordPress with a complete backup restore, and all your files restored. In short, if your site is down we are your outsourced team to help you get it back up.
Please note that we cannot be responsible for 3rd party issues (like ISP’s, or your external hosting provider), nor is this a service to look after a dedicated hosting solution. In these situations the SLA does not stand, and we will respond within that timeframe, but cannot guarantee your site will be back online. We will however work with you to look at alternative solutions.
There is no hardware (servers, networks, network devices, computers etc) maintenance coverage under this product.
For virus or hack issues, if we do not recover your site within your SLA from the time we are aware of it, we will refund your monthly subscription.
Set up
Set up is FREE! What we will need from you:
- Access to your domain registrar (your DNS will be moved to CloudFlare.com to implement some performance and security aspects)
- Access to your WordPress site (you will need to create an Administrator login for us)
