If you already have a faceboook application that you used for some other purpose or for connecting your V3 application with Facebook, you can use that application. If you don’t have any Facebook apps on your account, you will need to click on the Create new app button.

After clicking on the Create New App button, you will get a popup that you can use to enter some basic information about your Facebook application. You need to enter the:

Application name that will be checked for validity by Facebook service
Category – You need to select at least the main category. Choose the category corresponding to your mobile app.
Subcategory – Optional

Leave other fields blank. You can see how it should look like in this screenshot:

Continue

After you click on the continue button, you will get another popup that requires you to enter the CAPTCHA code to show Facebook that you are not an evil robot preordered for world domination. After you confirm that you are human, you should see the following:

You need to Write down or copy the Facebook App ID and App Secret from the box in question. However, leave the Facebook App interface open, as we will need to do some additional settings there.
